Cannabis is now widely recognized for many of it’s medicinal properties.
Is there a strain designed for you?
There are many strains to choose from that may change our perception or alleviate what ails us. Cannabis offers tremendous medicinal power to breeders who develop new strains for cannabis patients. The balance of terpenes, cannabinoids and flavonoids can deliver very unique experiences specific to each strain. Allowing breeders to design custom medical marijuana just for you.
Cannabis has been used as a medicine for many years. Some for PTSD, neurological disorders, stress, pain, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, epilepsy, antibiotic-resistant infections, sleep, nausea, alcoholism and so much more.
Cannabis is known to be an antioxidant, anxiolytic, anti-depressant, anti-convulsant, anti-emetic, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, with anti-psychotic and neuro-protective properties yielding promise for the treatment of Parkinson’s, Alzhiemer’s, and many neurodegenerative related diseases. Cannabis is also known to regulate blood pressure and protect healthy cells while attacking breast cancer cells and other types of cancer cells.
Clinical trials are underway and many of the benefits of cannabis will soon be documented, published and well known.
At this moment in history we are part of one of the greatest home grown medicine revolutions. Cannabis is being customized and bred to treat specific ailments. We have the power to design our own medicine. Many drugs will be developed by the major pharmaceutical companies and many strains will be developed by cannabis breeders to achieve the same results.
Here are a handful of the strains recommended by HWY420 budtenders and our friends:
Favorite strain? When and why would you recommend it?
Jess McBrayer: RudeBoi
Super tasty, unexpected, and super chill. Plus, it’s called RudeBoi. Raised my non-binary intrigue to start and then exceeded my expectations.
Mary McKeirnan: Pamelina!
A 50/50 so perfect to smoke anytime and the flavor is out of this world!
Alex Towle: U.K. Cheese and P-51
Oh dang. I like this question. I would have to nominate two for this. My day flower has gotta be U.K. Cheese, the flavor is fantastic and the high is perfect for going out on a hike or getting up and doing things. But, when I get home after a long day, I want to get hit by the strong body high of P-51. So relaxing, and a super good chronic taste.
Travis Evans: Grape Ape concentrate from Stone Supply
All I look forward to after a long day. It will lay you out and take all the motivation from you. It’s about DAB time!
Derek Christensen: Pre 98 Bubba Kush from Tropic Grow
It is a beautiful indica, has a fruity flavor and definitely heavy. I find that Tom at Tropic Grow really grown this strain well and I use it to put any other Growers Bubba against for comparison.
Stephen C: It has been fun watching the strains develop through different growers. I like what has been accomplished with bubba kush and p51. Both match my nighttime mood.
