GMO – Lazy Bee
What’s up everyone? Summer is right around the corner!! I hope you’re all getting excited for the change of weather and upcoming events.
Today we’re going to go over GMO from Lazy Bee Gardens. Follow along and let’s take a peak at this truly fascinating strain.
Strain info: GMO stands for garlic, mushroom, onion. Or in some cases garlic cookies (depending on dispensary and geographic location). The strain first appeared around 2014-16 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and slowly worked it’s way to becoming a staple in the cannabis community. Just a quick little fun fact, back in 2020 the strain won the Leafly strain of the year award.
Now, that we have a little bit of a breakdown and understanding of the strain, let’s dive on into this fun and powerful strain.
Packaging: Don’t be deceived how the nugs look inside the bag! The bag doesn’t do the nugs justice. While they may look a little dryer in the bag, once you get them out of it, they are insanely trichome covered with a mixture of light green on the outside and dark green and purple on the inside when ground up.
Texture: The feel of the bud is a tad strange in the sense that it has a little bit of bumpiness to it, but not in a bad way! It makes it so much easier to break up and grind into a nice bowl, or even put into a nice joint. The bud grinds up into a fine texture, which truly shows off the amount of trichomes are on the nugs because you will be getting a crazy amount of kief from this when you grind it.
Smell: The smell of the bud is PUNGENT! It’s one of the most unique strains out there for smells and tastes. We’ll get into the taste here in a minute, but let’s stay on the smell for now. With the strain being a cross of GSC and chem dawg, this has a savory smell while also having a bit of a chemically smell on the back end.
Taste: The taste is savory with flavors of garlic, onion, chemical and earth. This strain has a lot going on with it. Which could potentially be a little overwhelming for some people, and that’s understandable! I absolutely despised GMO when I first had it. But now, I seek it out because of it’s affects and the flavor. It takes some getting used to, but once you do you’re in for quite the ride.
High: The high is amazing! You can really feel the head rush from the Chem Dawg quickly, while the affects of the GSC kick in a little bit after and your body unwinds while your thoughts drift away into a more relaxed place. If you really want to feel relaxed while having this, pop in a movie, or jam out to some music (I heavily suggest Mastodon, Black Sabbath, or Amenra). No matter what you do, while having GMO, you’re going to have a fun time and feel great doing it.
Overall: I highly recommend this strain for anyone looking for a chill night in, a strain to help you get the munchies, or for those who are in pain or have high anxiety. Lazy Bee has one of the best GMO strains on the market. Make sure to pick up some to try for yourself!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it. As always, take care of yourself, take care of others, be kind, smoke a bowl and enjoy your life as best you can.
Take care,
Patrick
