Dutch 47 by Trail Blazin’ Cannabis Review by Patrick (Issue 9)

Hey there! Hope the month has treated everyone well.

As we all know, the world has been absolutely INSANE lately. Not just lately, but for quite some time. So why not try to find a good strain to relieve some of that tension? Lucky enough for all of us, Trailblazin’, an award winning, DOH certified, pesticide free farm in Bellingham, Washington has just that strain. Dutch 47.

With a cross of Dutch Treat and AK-47, it’s easy to see why this strain would be an enlightening, and energetic experience that would leave you feeling like you’re on cloud 9. While on the active and focusing side of sativa’s, it doesn’t drive you into a state of anxiety or overthinking like some others have the tendency to do. The cross of Dutch Treat helps weigh it down a little by making the user feel more relaxed and having the body feel at ease while the AK portion keeps the mind active and body moving. Truly, a fun strain.

• Texture of the bud – The buds themselves are fluffy and sticky. Once broken apart, you can really feel the natural oils, and see the trichomes that cover each leaf.  It’s easy to break apart, and soft once ground up.
• Smell – The smell was unique in the sense that it wasn’t overly pungent, but you could smell it pretty easily. There was a heavy sweet pine and chemically smell to it that when it hit the senses it woke you up quick. Once ground up though, there was a bit more of a citrus smell that followed through with pine as well.
• Taste – The taste was very piney! It almost tasted like a forest, but in the nicest way. Almost like I took a massive breath while on a hike and the air just hits you all at once.
• The high – The high was great. It was euphoric, enlightening, relaxing, and made me feel mentally clear. It was a bit of a creeper! I smoke from a bong personally and after I got back inside to sit down, it took about 5 minutes before everything completely set in. But when it did, it was like nothing could have broken that feeling.
• Overall – Dutch 47 is an incredible strain for a pick me up, wanting some focus or even just needing some motivation. From the articles I’ve read, it helps with numerous different ailments ranging from mental health, all the way to neurological disorders.
